FRONT OF HOUSE
For front of house employees, we are looking for someone who knows how to operate a cash register, communicate with customers, and assist other restaurant staff as needed, which may include cutting, boxing, and selling food, and some other back off house (BOH) duties. Responsibilities in this job can include processing credit card payments, accepting cash payments and making change, and using a point of sale (POS) system for transactions. Restaurant cashier duties also involve greeting guests, helping resolve customer complaints, and maintaining knowledge of the menu and sales policies.

Welcome customers and help determine their orders using your extensive knowledge of the menu

Process customer orders and record them in the restaurant database

Relay customers’ orders to the kitchen staff

Ensure all orders are delivered to the customers in a timely manner

Accept cash and return the correct change

Possess extensive knowledge of Point of Sale system

Tally money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each work shift
-
Place food orders in the appropriate bags and boxes
-
Respond to customer inquiries, issue receipts, and record customer suggestions
-
Clean and arrange eating, service, and kitchen spaces
-
Help kitchen staff when needed
-
Complete all opening and closing side work in a timely fashion
BACK OF HOUSE
Responsibilities for back of house are to assist with food preparation in our kitchen and adhere exactly to the chef’s instructions and recommendations. The goal is to increase customer satisfaction and kitchen efficiency. Duties include preparing and stocking cooking stations, preparing much of the food, and follow instructions from the chef and manager.

Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies

Prepare food for service (e.g. making the necessary amount of batter, butchering meat, preparing sauces, etc)

Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

Answer, report and follow manager’s instructions

Clean up station and take care of leftover food
-
Complete all opening and closing side work in a timely fashion

Stock inventory appropriately

Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
-
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
-
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
-
Interact with customers when necessary and maintain a positive approach
